Ways to Help the Hebridean Trust

Inner city children experiencing an adventure holiday, Isle of Tiree (Hynish Centre)

The Hebridean Trust is a not-for-profit organisation working to secure the Hebridean islands' historical and natural heritage, and to support, stimulate and develop the economies of island communities, including:

  • Preservation and conservation of the environment and built heritage
  • Increasing facilities for public access to the islands
  • Promoting the islands through education, exhibitions events and publications

There are many ways that you can contribute to the work of The Hebridean Trust.

When you become a member you can get discounted accommodation at the Hynish Centre - see about this and other benefits in our Fees and Benefits page.

By carefully targeting funding at inspiring projects we aim to encourage the investment of effort and optimism which will be required to reverse the problems of shrinking population and infrastructure in the region.

Formed by visitors and island residents in 1982, The Hebridean Trust realises the benefits visitors can bring to the islands. We invite you to join us to ensure future generations will continue to enjoy a rich and varied experience of life in the Hebrides.
