The Hebridean Trust's work is funded from various sources - grant-making trusts and charities, individuals, companies and from public and governmental agencies. The Trust is a non-profit-making and non-trading charitable company.

Many islands still face a steady decline in their populations and some even face the prospect of eventual evacuation. The need for the creation of innovative and viable schemes, at once preserving and developing the unique way of life in the Hebrides cannot nearly be matched by our present financial resources.
